I came in to get my passport first thing in the morning, I was quickly helped by a lady named Christy. She answered all my questions (as I had a few due to this being my first time applying). She was prompt & very friendly.
Today I went to get my sons passport and the lady who attended us was a lady who looked like in her 40's she had short spiked out hair. Well she was nice to me and my son but not at all to my husband. She would glare at him, and make ugly faces. My husband was nice to her, smiled at her and not once made a face or anything. One thing that really bothered us was when my husband put his pen down when he was done signing and she looked at him madly and slammed the pen into the pen holder thing and stared at him very rudely. She would also get very annoyed when I would translate things for my husband because he doesn't speak or understand English completely. Yet she would smile and say nice things to me and my son. I believe she was like this to my husband because he is not an american citizen only me and my son are. I don't know why she was like this to my husband but It was a very uncomfortable situation and believe no one should be treated differently because of their race. We all contribute to the United States in some way whether its in the U.S. or outside of the U.S. I hope no one else has to go through something like I did today.
